How it works and plans
- How does it work?
- You give Unfold Stories as a gift. Each week the person you choose gets one question on WhatsApp and replies with a message, a voice note or a photo. After 12 or 26 weeks we turn their answers into a printed book.
- What are the plans?
- £59 Essential: 12 weekly questions and a softcover book. £79 Classic: 26 weekly questions and a hardcover book. Both include one printed copy and a PDF, with free UK shipping, and extra copies are from £25.
- Who writes the book?
- They do, in their own words. We use AI with zero-retention providers to tidy and arrange their answers into chapters, and you can read and edit every story before you approve the book.
For the person receiving it
- Do they need to install anything?
- No app, just WhatsApp. Their first message asks if they'd like to take part, and nothing more is sent unless they say yes.
- What if they want a break or want to stop?
- They can reply PAUSE to take a break and RESUME when they are ready, or SKIP to get a different question. Replying STOP ends it, and we won't message them again. You can also pause or resume the journey from your portal.
Orders, shipping and refunds
- When does the book arrive?
- After the 12 or 26 weeks, you review and approve the book, then it is printed and posted within 10 to 14 working days. Shipping in the UK is free.
- What is the refund policy?
- Our full refund policy will be published before we take our first paid order. See the Refund Policy page.
Your data
- Can I export or delete my data?
- Yes. In your portal settings you can export your data, including orders, stories and conversations, or request deletion. Payment records are kept for 7 years for HMRC.
- How is my data handled?
- We use zero-retention AI providers and are UK-based. See our privacy notice for the full detail.
Email preferences
- How do I turn off update emails?
- Switch them off in your portal settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. Essential order emails will still arrive.
